Luann Coleman Forell is a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music with over 40 years of experience as an independent piano teacher. She holds a Bachelor of Music Degree in Piano and Organ Performance and has done extensive graduate work in piano pedagogy.  She specializes in developing natural piano technique in young pianists.  Mrs. Forell is a past president of the Greater Memphis Music Teachers Association where she is currently on the Executive Board and serves as Auditions Musicianship Chair and Webmaster.  She was named Teacher of the Year for 2002 and again for 2007.  A long time member of the Tennessee Music Teachers Association, she currently serves on the TMTA Executive Board.  She has served as adjudicator at many local and state auditions and competitions and her students and her students have won numerous awards at various state and local competitions in the mid-south area.
Mrs. Forell studied piano with Leon Rosenbloom of Chicago and Sam Viviano of Memphis.  As an organist, she has studied with Dr. Herbert White of Chicago, Karel Paukert of the Cleveland Institute and Museum of Art and Anton Heiller of Vienna, Austria.
Piano lessons are a comprehensive program that includes instruction in note reading, theory, ear training, technique, general musicianship and artistry, and performance.  All lessons and classes are held in the home studio at 8592 Edenfield Cove in Germantown, TN. The Piano Studio is equipped with a Yamaha Disklavier Electronic Piano. The Disklavier® features highest quality digital sound along with acoustic grand piano key-action.   A Mason & Hamlin 7' grand is also available for lessons for advanced students and for recitals.

 
 The Computer Lab is equipped with two computer workstations and Yamaha Clavinova CLP-280. Interactive Software allows students to work independently on Music Theory, Ear Training, and Music Appreciation before or after their private lesson.
